• World-class field featuring 44 GT3 cars set for closing Sprint Cup weekend of 2026
• Eight-way fight for overall drivers' crown, more titles up for grabs in Gold and Bronze
• Packed event also includes open paddock with fan zone and three high-level support series
Champions will be crowned next weekend (2–4 October) when Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya welcomes GT World for the deciding round of the 2026 Sprint Cup. An epic showdown is in store at the Spanish venue, led by an incredible eight-way fight for the overall Sprint Cup drivers' title.
With further battles in the Gold Cup and Bronze Cup classes, it promises to be non-stop action from a stacked 44-car field. Fans at the track will also be treated to a trio of high-level support series, as well as an open paddock which includes a dedicated fan zone, supercar displays, and more.
The Barcelona event is part of the annual Festival de la Velocidad, supporting the Legado María de Villota foundation, and welcomes GT World for the 11th successive year. It marks the first of back-to-back title deciders, with Portimão set to stage the closing Endurance Cup race on 16–18 October.
This year's Sprint Cup has been remarkably competitive, leading to an incredible eight-way fight for the overall title. CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa winners Ricardo Feller and Bastian Buus lead the way for Porsche squad Lionspeed GP, closely followed by AF Corse Ferrari duo Arthur Leclerc and Thomas Neubauer and Barcelona’s own Dani Juncadella (Mercedes-AMG Team Verstappen Racing). With just six points covering the top three, it truly is all to play for.
Defending champions Charles Weerts and Kelvin van der Linde have slipped down the order of late, but the Team WRT BMW drivers are still firmly in the hunt. There are further title challengers in Maro Engel and Lucas Auer (Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG); Thierry Vermeulen and Ben Green (Emil Frey Racing Ferrari); Valentino Rossi and Max Hesse (Team WRT BMW); and Dorian Boccolacci (Boutsen VDS Porsche).
And there is plenty more to be decided this weekend, with titles up for grabs in the Gold Cup and Bronze Cup classes. The former has been led by AF Corse Ferrari drivers Tommaso Mosca and Matias Zagazeta since the opening race of the season, while Peter Dempsey and Eddie Cheever (Ziggo Sport Tempesta Racing Porsche) took control of the latter with a double win at Zandvoort.
The only exception is the Silver Cup, which was settled a round early in favour of Matisse Lismont and Ignacio Montenegro. The Team WRT BMW drivers have also sealed the combined title and will race without pressure at the finale.

Like all GT World events, the public will be welcomed into an open paddock at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. This includes a dedicated fan zone with food and drinks stalls, merchandise, big screens and more. On Sunday at 13:00, fans can meet the drivers during an autograph session. There will also be an exposition featuring over 20 supercars and a display dedicated to leading EV brand Tesla. Paddock access is included with all general admission tickets.
Aspiring racers can try their hand at an E-MOTION simulator and enter THE GRID On Tour. Open to those aged 16 and over, this is a sim-based contest from which one winner will earn the chance to contest the real-world Championnat de France FFSA GT in 2027.

Three high-level support series – each running a pair of races – will bring the total competitive track time at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya to almost eight hours. McLaren Trophy Europe joins the GT World tour for the first of back-to-back events, while the GT3 Revival Series wraps up its inaugural campaign with some old favourites battling it out in Spain.
With the season-ending World Finals just three weeks away, Lamborghini Super Trofeo is finely poised. Simone Iaquinta and Kevin Gilardoni lead Pro by just three points, while nine split the top two in Pro-Am. Three crews in Am are separated by 12 points, while less than a race win covers the top six in Lamborghini Cup.

Barcelona tickets start at 25€ with a three-day pass costing 55€. This allows access to the paddock and fan zone, and to the circuit's many spectator areas. A number of supplementary purchases are available, including Pit Walk, Grid Walk and Guided Tour passes.
Children aged 12 and under can attend for free when accompanied by a paying adult. The public can access the venue through Gate 3, while free parking will be available in the lots outside the circuit.

If you can’t make it to the track, GT World Challenge races are streamed live around the world on the GT World YouTube channel. This is entirely free, allowing fans to experience every second of the action no matter where they are. Live coverage from Barcelona begins with Qualifying 1 at 09:50 on Saturday, followed later that day by Race 1 at 14:00.
